The 2012 GEOINT Symposium, the nation’s largest intelligence event of the year, was held last month in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center from October 8th-11th, 2012. The event, hosted by the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, featured important keynote speakers such as NGA Director Letitia Long and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Sept. 17, 2012 – GeoTel was featured in a Crain's Chicago Business article describing how Chicago's rich history in manufacturing helped it to became one of the nation's key hubs for fiber optic connections.  This article examines Chicago on a digital layer level, utilizing GeoTel's data mapping the concentration of telecommunication networks within and surrounding the city. GeoTel CEO, Dave Drazen, was quoted in the article crediting the impressive fiber cable and digital infrastructure to the large number of different industries and buildings thriving in the Chicagoland area.

Sept. 12, 2012 – GeoTel Communications, LLC’s telecommunications infrastructure maps of the Internet will be featured at the Archive Centre Mundaneum in Belgium for the museum's Renaissance 2.0 exhibit set to be on display October 9, 2012 through January 7, 2013. Specifically, GeoTel will provide maps of the Internet showing international subsea telecom fiber optic cables, similar to those by GeoTel which were featured in Fortune magazine earlier this year.
